That Little Tea House

That Little Teahouse sources the best loose leaf tea. They currently have over 35 blends available, ranging from traditional black teas to teas with a contemporary twist. There is something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds.

Tea-Leaf Readings, Angel Card Readings, and other essential family celebrations are held at That Little Tea House. However, if you book ahead of time, you can have high tea any day of the week. Private tea rooms are available in the shop and are fully air-conditioned and decorated in the style of an English tearoom. You and your friends or family will undoubtedly enjoy the lovely experience and teas.

Speaking of which, That Little Tea House also serves locally sourced cakes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Buttermilk Scones with jam and cream are their most popular item. However, gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free cakes are available.

Dandelion & Driftwood

The desire for balance inspired the creation of this lovely cafe. Dandelion represents the yin or subtle softness, whereas driftwood represents the yang or rugged manly ways. Together Dandelion & Driftwood offers a balanced experience in terms of food and atmosphere. 

The whimsical cafe serves breakfast and lunch cafe with various beverages, including juices, milkshakes, beer, wine, and cocktails, but they also specialise in coffee, tea and high tea. Dandelion & Driftwood has designated areas for specific dining experiences such as Dining Room, Champagne Table, Cecil Earnest and Tea Garden.

You’ll have a lovely afternoon at the Tea Garden for high tea. Just make sure to book ahead of time and have proof of COVID-19 vaccination for everyone’s safety. Dandelion & Driftwood offers a variety of delicious High Teas. You can even choose between a pot of tea and regular coffee or toast with prosecco, sparkling rosé, or French champagne.

Now, let’s take a look at the lovely three-tiered share stand. You’ll find signature ribbon sandwiches, assorted mini savouries, pretty pastries, and mini filled croissants on the bottom tier. Two signature light and fluffy scones are served on the middle tier with The Grainge raspberry jam and double cream. On the top tier, there’s a delectable selection of sweets, including mini lemon curd tarts, mini caramel tarts, specialty cupcakes, and other delightful mini sweets & treats.

Room with Roses 

One of Brisbane’s most unique dining experiences is in the upstairs of the heritage-listed Brisbane Arcade. Room with Roses is the establishment’s name, and they also serve High Tea. It is available on weekdays at 1:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m., but it is preferable to make a reservation. 

Now, let’s get back to the High Tea. Room with Roses offers Champagne with High Tea, Deluxe High Tea, Chocolate High Tea, and Ultimate Chocolate Fondue High Tea. Each of these stands serves 2 to 3 people and is priced per person. Room with Roses High Tea is available for 2 hours from when the reservation is made.

The Matriarch 

Do you want to try a fancy High Tea in a fancy place? Prepare to enter The Matriarch’s magnificent iron gates. You’ll love their place, especially their garden patio, which is surrounded by 25-year-old olive trees and crystal chandeliers. The countryside of nineteenth-century Paris also inspires their interior design. The white marble tabletops, soft velvet mixtures topped with burning kerosene lanterns, and fresh flowers add a one-of-a-kind ambience that you will want to experience.

When it comes to High Tea, The Matriarch Garden is the ideal place to relax with a cup of tea. They serve a variety of delectable sweets, savoury treats, and freshly baked scones with jam and cream. The Mini Sweet Selection Sampler is a must-try. Strawberry slices, Almondine with lemon zest, Triple chocolate joconde biscuits, Apricot jelly and chopped pistachios financier, Dark chocolate ganache and dark chocolate cream Chocolate crumbles, Caramel and cinnamon financiers with caramelised apple compote, topped with chopped almonds, Raspberry cheesecakes, and Operas Cake are among the treats available.

Thursday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Matriarch Fancy High Tea is available. Reservations are required.

Shingle Inn City Hall

Shingle Inn, founded in the autumn of 1936 amid the Great Depression, is more than just a business; it is an intriguing part of Australia’s, and more specifically Brisbane’s, history. The Shingle Inn grew from a single store that stood alone for 66 years to a franchise network of 40 cafes across Australia.

Shingle Inn City Hall is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers a delicious menu perfect for breakfast, lunch, and High Tea. Shingle Inn offers a wide variety of T2 loose leaf teas and unique coffee blends, which you can enjoy along with their incredible selection of ribbon sandwiches, an assortment of petite sweet treats and hand-made scones with clotted cream and preserve.
